Lana Kogut is responsible for overseeing the firm's quality assurance program. This role includes managing all aspects of the firm's quality-assurance initiatives, which range from designing and implementing processes and procedures, to ensuring adherence to the firm's published guidelines.

Lana joined Cole Systems Associates Inc. in 2004 as a software quality assurance engineer. She was the sole quality assurance analyst in the 50-employee organization. Lana searched for, analyzed and documented software defects in program functions, outputs, online screens and content. She was part of the software development team and helped customers build and install software applications. She was also responsible for prioritizing and resolving customer software issues.

Prior to joining Cole Systems, Lana was a quality assurance associate at UBS PaineWebber from 1999 to 2003. She was responsible for testing the firm's financial software applications across all product lines and platforms. Other duties encompassed system testing, deployment validation and sign-off responsibility for assigned functional areas. Lana wrote and executed system test plans/cases for web-based software applications, including functionality, usability, browser compatibility, performance, installation and load and stress tests. She also reviewed and provided appropriate feedback for functionality purposes and requirements of products.

Lana started her career in 1996 at Lehman Brothers Inc.'s Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities group as a consultant. She graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems.
